Colliers International Golf Day 2009
Golfers hit off for Charity. The 2009 Colliers International – United Way Queensland Golf Tournament was well supported by sponsors with a spectacular $34,499 raised on the day to aid Colliers chosen charities, the Down Syndrome Association of Queensland and Youth Enterprise Trust. Many sponsors, Hynes Lawyers, Dimeo, Adcorp and Manna Developments, to name a few, have supported the event since its inception in 2005. Because of the commitment to the community by Colliers International these two organizations can expand the reach of their programs resulting in long term positive outcomes for young people.Down Syndrome Association’s Young Ambassadors Program will receive direct support, enabling young people to work with a mentor to develop public speaking opportunities and all of the associated language skills that will advance communication and self esteem. Camps and workshops in a collaborative environment will allow young people with Down Syndrome to connect, develop, mature and learn together, to move confidently into the community and workforce. Youth Enterprise Trust’s unique wilderness program, will ensure continued assistance to disadvantaged and other young people, aged 16 to 24 years. Youth Enterprise Trust strategically guides young people towards further education and responsible, fulfilling vocations.

Congratulations Colliers.....
